Arbonne International is a company that produces and sells "both inner, and outer, health and beauty products". Their claim that the products are formulated in Switzerland has been challenged in articles and conversations, but I have found they also say the products are only formulated in Switzerland, but are made in the USA.
The products that I have tried really are amazing. I started with the RE9 anti-aging line and saw a difference in the texture and tone of my skin within days. My family and friends noticed these changes also, and I was thrilled! The down side? The products are very expensive and the facial line is a 7 step process. I decided that the results were well worth the cost and time involved. I believed (and still do) so much in the anti-aging line that I plunged in with a $500 order and signed up as a consultant thinking this was the business opportunity of a lifetime!
Arbonne claims not to be an MLM. Rather they promote a network of "wholesale buyers". However, in my experience if you have to persuade others to sign up under you in order to make money, it is an MLM. This was my downfall as far as the business opportunity goes. I do know a handful of people that are beginning to make good money, but you really have to have the time, energy, and money to make any significant amount. Being told that I should only talk to people that already had money was another player in losing interest in Arbonne as a business.
And the last straw in the business end of Arbonne? I found that you can buy it cheaper than the wholesale price on Ebay!
