Okay, I have finally found a way into the doors of the publishers. I recently self-published and then queried various publishers who wouldn't speak to me six months ago. Now they are perking up their ears I used Lulu, which is completely free and the author retains all rights. I doubt one would sell very many books through them, but it gives you exposure that is so valuable. Now mind you, I am not promoting Lulu, I'm just telling you what I recently did and how it is working for me. I am extremely happy at the outcome.
