I always watch all this stuff about being careful when handling food. I think its good and try to follow what they say, even though I wonder, why this wasn't an issue back in early 1970 when I actually did some cooking.

Anyway, day before yesterday, I thought I'd give my husband a break and cook some dinner for us. Sausages...and I must add...my favorite sausages, Johnsonville. I had put a cup of coffee in the microwave to heat up while I put the meat into the pot. When the microwave beaped I simply rinsed my hands under some cool water, grabbed a papertowel and dried my hands. I pulled the cup from the microwave, while still holding the papertowel and saw spots on the edge of the cup...so I wiped the edge of the cup with the papertowel, then drank my coffee while continuing to fix dinner.  Well guess what?  I got sick as a dog.  Guess we do need to be careful when handling some foods.
