Maybe I can save the carpet

Well, I've started on my theater project. Today, my husband got all the furniture out of the extra bedroom. My original plan was to rip out the carpeting and replace it. However, now the everything is out of there I realized that the carpet looks like brand new, just a bit dusty. I hadn't given it much thought but we've barely used this room. There are some dents where the bed and the dressor were, but I think it will do just fine if I use a
steam cleaner to clean and freshen it. It was quality carpeting to begin with and had really good padding so I thnk it will work with the sound system just fine.
