If you haven't flown lately you may not know just how rough the airlines are on your luggage. I have literally replaced three bags in the last year and each one had been damaged by the airline. I always buy the $30 bags and if you look inside, they have a two or three inch plastic piece around the entire interior. It appears to be part of the framework. Well, when they check my bags they tear this piece up. Next time I'm buying Samsonite luggage...maybe that will hold up.
