No truer words have ever been said. There are a lot of positive things I could say about me and my life, but the one thing I've never been good at is timing. I'm always a day late and a dollar short. I thought as I grew older that would change, but it has not. The job I have I took three years ago after doing some independent contract work. It was a temporary job that was projected to last about six months to a year. I figured I could use that time to find a "real" job.
Well, I was very busy in that job and time raced by. They kept extending me and there wasn't much time to look for work. Now suddenly it seems we are done and what timing! Unemployment is at its highest rate and I've been applying for jobs for over six months without even and interview. Most of the jobs posted are jobs in programming and other IT arenas. Oh Lord, if I could go back and do it all over again, computers would have been my course of study in school, instead of counseling. If I don't find a job here soon, I may have to go back at 54 anyway....good grief, timing really is everything!
